Llama Travel was set up by Luca Newbold, who lived in Peru for 4 years and travelled
around much of South America. When he returned to the UK, he found that most holidays to
South America were far too expensive, meaning that only wealthy travelers and backpackers
got to see the marvels there. So, along with the former managing director of Thomson Holidays,
he set up Llama Travel with the aim of making holidays to South America more affordable.
We began offering holidays to Peru in 2002. Since then, we have introduced holidays to the
Galapagos Islands and Ecuador, offering the same combination of excellent service, choice
and value for money that we are known for in Peru. We have worked hard to establish Llama Travel
