A visit to the Galapagos Islands is one of the world’s great wildlife experiences. Sail around the Galapagos, visiting the different volcanic islands, each unique. As the animals are not afraid of humans, you have an unparalleled opportunity to observe different land and marine creatures at incredibly close quarters.   The best way to visit the Galapagos is on a cruise, allowing you to explore different islands, including more remote ones. Llama Travel offers Galapagos cruises on two boats, both with high levels of on-board comfort, small-group excursions with certified naturalist guides and excellent value for money.

What to see

What to see

The Galapagos Islands, on the equator, were never connected to the mainland, so the animals that made it to the Galapagos were completely isolated. This has led to an extraordinary variety of unique species, including birds, reptiles, mammals and marine life.

When to go

When to go

The Galapagos can be visited year round and wildlife can be seen all year. December to May is hotter, but wetter, and the sea temperature tends to be warmer. June to December is drier, but cooler.
