Day 1 (Monday) Buenos Aires Fly from the UK to Buenos Aires, arriving in the evening. You are met at the airport and taken to your hotel (3 nights).
Day 2 (Tuesday) Buenos Aires A free day in Buenos Aires. Take the optional half day Historic Buenos Aires excursion to explore different areas of the city; including the Pink House made famous by Evita, the historic area of San Telmo, La Boca, and the old port before continuing to La Recoleta, one of the most elegant neighbourhoods of the city.
Day 3 (Wednesday) Buenos Aires Free day in Buenos Aires; perhaps visit the pretty colonial town of Colonia situated across the Rio de La Plata in Uruguay. Colonia can be visited in a day from Buenos Aires with the ferry from Buenos Aires takes approximately 90 minutes. In the evening, take the optional Tango Dinner Show excursion to the Esquina Carlos Gardel theatre, where musicians and singers playing classic tango while professional dancers perform. A good dinner, with wine or soft drinks, is included at your table.
Day 4 (Thursday) Puerto Iguazu A morning flight from Buenos Aires to Puerto Iguazu, located on the Argentinean side of the border (2 nights). In the afternoon, visit the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls, from where you appreciate the grandeur of the falls. The Brazilian side of the falls has less walkways but it does provide the best panoramic view of the falls.
Day 5 (Friday) Puerto Iguazu A free day to explore the Argentinean side of the falls by yourself. Here, you can follow the walkways, seeing the falls from the waters edge below and also from above. You can also take an adrenalin-flled (and drenching) boat ride to the base of the falls. Alternatively, if you would like a guided tour, take the optional Argentinean Iguazu Falls excursion. This morning excursion visits the Argentinean side of the falls; visiting the upper and lower circuit. The tour lasts approximately 4 hours.
Day 6 (Saturday) Rio Fly to Rio de Janeiro (3 nights). Rio is located in one of the world’s most stunning natural settings, with beautiful bays, hills rolling into the ocean and tropical beaches.
Day 7 (Sunday) Rio Enjoy a free day in Rio or take the optional full day Rio, Sugarloaf, Christ the Redeemer excursion. You start by visiting the city centre, before taking the cable car up the Sugarloaf Mountain for beautiful views of Copacabana. After lunch in a typical Brazilian steakhouse (vegetarian option available), take the funicular train to the Christ the Redeemer statue for incredible views of the bay of Rio. You then drive along the beaches before returning to your hotel.
Day 8 (Monday) Rio A free day in Rio allowing you the chance to further explore the city, or soak up the sun on the world famous Copacabana or Ipanema beach. Nearby to Rio is Tijuca National Park, which is covered in lush tropical forest and is home to an abundance of wildlife.
Day 9 (Tuesday) Fly overnight to the UK.
Day 10 (Wednesday) Arrival in the UK.
