Superior Hotel This 148-room hotel, located in the centre of Miraflores, has good facilities, including a heated pool, a gym, spa, restaurant, café and a bar. The rooms are well appointed with air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms, and free wifi is available throughout the hotel.
Our Opinion This is an excellent superior option located in the heart of Miraflores, making it easy to reach many of Lima’s world-class restaurants. The hotel is good place to get away from the bustle of Lima.

Local Charm This standard category hotel has 64 rooms, built in a turn of the 20th century republican house in central Miraflores, with original furniture. There is a lounge, restaurant and small garden, and free wifi in the common areas. Rooms are simple and decorated traditionally, with air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.
Our Opinion A simple hotel, with a very Peruvian feel, the hotel has many Andean pictures and paintings located around the common areas and rooms. The hotel is located in a quiet residential part of Miraflores close to the central park.
Standard Lodge The 32-room lodge is located close to the Tambopata Reserve. Elevated above the ground, the simple rooms are open on one side above a waist-high railing, giving great views of the jungle. Rooms have private bathrooms (cold showers only) and kerosene lamps for lighting. All meals are taken in the attractive main building. The main building has electricity for charging batteries, and limited access to wifi. As some of the excursions are quite energetic, a reasonable level of fitness is required.
Our Opinion A beautiful lodge made of traditional materials, with excellent guides to help you get the most out of your time in the Jungle. There is a very enjoyable 2 hour boat ride up stream to reach the lodge.
Superior Lodge A superior 35-room lodge set in 10,000 hectares of private rainforest. Accommodation is in attractive bungalows built in harmony with the surroundings with private bathrooms and hot showers. Lighting is by kerosene lamps, and there is limited electricity in the room. There is a massage spa on site and a 300-metre canopy walkway.
Our Opinion This is a truly excellent lodge with beautiful accommodation and first-class service. The excursions are well planned and the ‘menu’ allows you to choose which excursions to take when you arrive at the lodge.
Standard Lodge This 18-room lodge located in the primary forest of the Tambopata Reserve offers the best opportunity for spotting wildlife, with the world’s largest macaw lick nearby. Elevated above the ground, the simple rooms are open on one side above a waist-high railing. Bathrooms are shared (cold showers only). Lighting is by kerosene lamps. To reach the lodge it is a 5 hour boat ride upstream from the Refugio Amazonas.
Our Opinion This is a really excellent option for people who are looking to see as much as possible in the jungle. Although the accommodation is simple, this is made up for by the better chance to see wildlife in the primary rainforest.
Standard Hotel This 77-room hotel, located in the heart of Cusco, only two blocks from the Plaza de Armas, is a pleasant hotel with a restaurant, a bar and a coffee shop. The rooms are simple, but comfortable, with heating, en-suite bathrooms and free wifi.
Our Opinion This hotel has a great location, less than 5 minutes walk to the main square, making it very easy to explore Cusco. There are also plenty of excellent restaurants nearby. The quirky, fun architecture gives it more character than most hotels.
Superior Hotel This well located 254-room hotel is one of the finest in Peru, is built on the location of the Inca house of the chosen women, with original Inca Walls still visible. There are lovely public areas, with a good restaurant, bar and several shops. The rooms are well appointed with heating, en-suite bathrooms and free wifi.
Our Opinion A Llama Travel favourite; the hotel is full of history, and the hotel offers excellent service with good rooms. The hotel is also in fantastic location, directly opposite the Temple of the Sun.
Local Charm This standard category hotel with 24-rooms is built in a small, traditional colonial building with a central covered patio, and a restaurant, very close to the main square. Rooms are simple, and have en-suite bathrooms. There is wifi in the common areas.
Our Opinion This charming simple hotel has lots of local character and the location of the hotel is fantastic, with the main square 2 minutes away.
Good double tents are pitched for you at each overnight stop. Communal tents for eating. All meals are included. Good, warm sleeping bags are also provided.
Standard Hotel This 46-room hotel, on the shores of Lake Titicaca, just outside the town of Puno, has a terrace overlooking the lake, a bar and restaurant. The comfortable rooms have heating with en-suite bathrooms and free wifi. Lake view rooms are available at a supplement.
Our Opinion This attractive hotel is well located in a quiet location outside of the town of Puno. The rooms are comfortable and the restaurant is good. If you want to visit Puno it’s a 5 minute taxi ride.
Superior Hotel This 111-room hotel is located on Isla Esteves, an island just off the mainland and is connected by a causeway. There is a jacuzzi, sauna, a good restaurant and bar. Rooms are comfortable, with heating, en-suite bathrooms and free wifi. All rooms have lake views.
Our Opinion This is a good hotel, with great views. The modernist style is a bit incongruous with the surroundings, but general spaces are spacious and attractive although the rooms are comfortable, while the hotel is not at the same standard as the Hotel Libertador in Cusco.
Standard Hotel This 47-room hotel, located in the historical centre of Arequipa opposite the entrance to the Santa Catalina convent and just two blocks from the main square. The hotel has attractive gardens, restaurant and a bar. The simple rooms have en-suite bathrooms, and free wifi.
Our Opinion A comfortable hotel with a fantastic location in Arequipa, the colonial entrance is lovely and the garden is a nice place to enjoy the sun.
Superior Hotel This 41-room hotel is located in the beautiful Mint House, one of Arequipa’s finest colonial buildings. There is a restaurant, a bar and 2 colonial courtyards. The comfortable rooms have en-suite bathrooms and free wifi.
Our Opinion A lovely colonial building in the centre of the city, the public areas are fantastic. Although the rooms are in a modern blocks these are comfortable.
Superior Hotel A bumpy ride takes you to this well-appointed lodge beautifully set next to the Colca River at an altitude of 3,250m. The 45-room lodge has large grounds with its own thermal baths, horses, three restaurants, two bars, a spa and free wifi in the public areas. The rooms are comfortable with en-suite bathrooms.
Our Opinion This hotel has possibly our favourite location in Peru, right next to the Colca River. The rooms are quite simple, but the grounds are fantastic, and the thermal springs are a perfect place to enjoy the incredible views.
Standard Hotel This 128-room hotel, on the Pacific shore, has a large outdoor swimming pool, spa, a restaurant and access to a private beach. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a separate lounge, en-suite bathrooms and free wifi.
Our Opinion Probably the best standard hotel Llama Travel use in Peru, the hotel has elegant modern rooms and lovely grounds. The small centre of Paracas is a 5 minute taxi ride away.
Standard Hotel This excellent 120-room hotel, located on the Pacific shore, has two large heated swimming pools, spa, restaurant and a bar. The spacious rooms are comfortable are well appointed, with en-suite bathrooms and wifi is available for a fee.
Our Opinion One of the best hotels in Peru, with excellent facilities and beautiful rooms, the hotel has a great location right on the Pacific coast, and the breakfasts are great.
