Mountains and Highlands Holidays

Mountain landscapes feature throughout many of our holidays, with each destination offering something different. In Peru, the Andes provide the setting for the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, while neighbouring Chile is home to some of the continent's most dramatic scenery, where the Andes meet the Atacama Desert. Ecuador's Avenue of the Volcanoes is lined with some of the country's highest peaks, and Sri Lanka's Hill Country is known for its rolling tea plantations and cooler climate. In South Africa, Table Mountain has become one of the country's most recognisable landmarks, while Jordan's rugged sandstone mountains surround Petra and the desert landscapes of Wadi Rum. From high mountain passes and volcanic peaks to fertile valleys and rolling hills, these varied landscapes are a defining feature of many of our holidays.

Rainforests and Jungles Holidays

Some of the world's most important rainforests can be found on our holidays, each with its own unique landscapes and wildlife. Peru and Ecuador offer the chance to explore the Amazon Rainforest, the largest tropical rainforest on earth, while Costa Rica's cloud forests and national parks are home to an incredible variety of wildlife. In Borneo, one of the world's oldest rainforests stretches across the island, with winding rivers, towering trees and dense jungle providing the perfect habitat for orangutans, pygmy elephants and countless bird species.

Whether exploring on foot or by boat, these forests offer a completely different side to each destination.

Deserts and Dramatic Landscapes Holidays

From vast sand dunes to volcanic plateaus, deserts are home to some of the world's most striking scenery. Namibia is famous for the towering red dunes of Sossusvlei and the white clay pan of Deadvlei, while Chile's Atacama Desert is one of the driest places on earth, with salt flats, geysers, colourful lagoons and snow-capped volcanoes. Jordan's Wadi Rum offers another completely different landscape, where dramatic sandstone mountains rise from the desert floor. These landscapes have been shaped over millions of years and provide some of the most unforgettable scenery on our holidays.

Coastlines, Islands and Waterfalls Holidays

Our holidays also visit some of the world's most spectacular coastlines, islands and waterfalls. The Galápagos Islands are renowned for their volcanic landscapes and unique wildlife, while Sri Lanka, Kenya and South Africa all offer beautiful stretches of coastline that can be combined with a touring holiday. In Latin America, Iguazu Falls stretches across the border of Argentina and Brazil, creating one of the world's largest waterfall systems, while Victoria Falls, on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, is one of Africa's greatest natural wonders. Together, these landscapes showcase the incredible variety of scenery found across our destinations.

National Parks and Protected Landscapes Holidays

Many of our holidays visit national parks and protected areas that preserve some of the world's most important landscapes and wildlife. Costa Rica has protected around a quarter of its land through national parks and reserves, while South Africa, Namibia and Kenya are home to vast conservation areas where wildlife lives alongside spectacular scenery. In South America, Peru's Manu National Park protects part of the Amazon Rainforest, while Ecuador's Galápagos National Park safeguards one of the world's most unique island ecosystems. In Borneo, Mulu National Park is famous for its ancient rainforest, limestone caves and dramatic pinnacles.

These protected areas help conserve remarkable landscapes while allowing visitors to experience nature at its wildest.
